Stetson Celebrates 160 Years with Book Launch at The Twenty Two
New York City’s style set, media tastemakers, and country stars gathered on Wednesday, October 1st to honor one of America’s most enduring heritage brands. Stetson marked its 160th anniversary with an evening at Louisa’s at The Twenty Two, celebrating the release of Stetson: American Icon, a stunning new coffee table book published by Rizzoli.
The night blended history with modern culture, just as the Stetson brand itself does. Guests sipped cocktails, enjoyed live performances, and paged through the book’s glossy archive of iconic imagery, which traces Stetson’s influence on fashion, art, and American identity.
Country music rising star Carter Faith electrified the crowd with a performance that ranged from intimate ballads to high-energy anthems. The singer, currently filming Netflix’s Heartland alongside Jessica Chastain and on the eve of her debut album release Cherry Valley, was one of the night’s most memorable highlights. DJ Alix Brown carried the energy into the evening with a playlist that fused classic Western sounds with modern hits, a reflection of Stetson’s own timeless-meets-contemporary appeal.
The celebration drew a diverse guest list of creatives, performers, and cultural figures including Anna Van Patten, Danielle Vasinova, Sophie Elgort, Mara Hoffman, Patrick Janelle, Dandy Wellington, Coco and Kaye Bassey, among many others.
Stetson: American Icon is a tribute to the brand’s legacy, featuring rare photography, vintage advertising, and essays by cultural historians. From archival portraits of Georgia O’Keeffe and Andy Warhol to contemporary images of Beyoncé and Post Malone, the book illustrates how Stetson has remained woven into the fabric of American culture.
As John Wayne once famously said, “It’s the hat that won the West.” At The Twenty Two, guests toasted not only to 160 years of craftsmanship but to a brand that continues to define heritage and style.
Stetson: American Icon is now available at Stetson.com and wherever books are sold.
