Exploring Sara Jeihooni's Evolution: From Reality TV Star to Musical Maven

Sara Jeihooni, initially known for her role on Bravo's Shahs of Sunset, has successfully transitioned into the music industry with her latest single, "In My Bag." This release, the lead track from her upcoming EP, marks a pivotal moment in Sara's journey from TV personality to a respected artist in the music scene. Beyond breaking genre boundaries, Sara, a beauty and fashion icon, takes pride in representing her Persian culture.

A TV personality and recording artist, Sara, a Middle Eastern beauty with brains, earned her MBA in business finance from Indiana University's renowned Kelley School of Business. Her role in Season 8 of Shahs of Sunset, the only show portraying Persian-Americans, propelled her to the cover of TV Guide Ratings, contributing to a remarkable 140% increase in the show's ratings. Sara's authenticity and intellect brought a fresh perspective to the series, resonating with a broader audience.

Post-show, Sara ventured into music, releasing her debut single "Playboys" in 2022, produced by Grammy Award-Winning Andrew Balogh. The track, with over 100,000 streams, earned her a spot on Spotify's prestigious playlist "Release Radar," alongside top artists like Jack Harlow and Chris Brown. Sara Jeihooni's journey showcases her versatility, combining authenticity, intelligence, and musical talent in her rise as a notable figure in the entertainment industry.

1. Could you provide our readers with insights into your evolution from being a TV personality on Shahs of Sunset to venturing into the realm of recording artistry? What sparked the inspiration behind this transition in your career?

After Shahs, I knew I had the opportunity to pivot into whatever I desired most, which has always been music. It was something I've always been passionate about, but it felt like a dream too big. I really believe the way everything unfolded was meant to bring me here to music, and this is how the story of my life was meant to be written.

2. You have great style! How would you describe your style? Where do you look for inspiration?

Thank you! Sophisticated, feminine, and fashionable. I definitely keep my eye on what’s happening in the fashion world, and I’m always inspired by what I see on the runway. I love designers like Alaia, Saint Laurent, and Mugler.

3. Being a breakout Persian female artist in the music industry is quite an achievement. How do you feel your Persian culture has influenced your music and your journey as an artist?

My Persian culture definitely gives me the strength to pursue this journey, drives my ambition, and fuels my desire to succeed and be a high achiever in whatever I do.

4. “In My Bag” is your newest single and the first from your upcoming EP. Can you share the inspiration behind the song and what listeners can expect from the EP?

"In My Bag" was the last song I wrote for my EP, and I was feeling so proud of how far I had come. I have been so focused on my career, feeling bold, confident, and unapologetic, and the record reflects that. I was just really "In My Bag" with that one! ha

As for the EP - it drops early 2024 and really just shows different sides of me. No two songs sound the same - I even have a house record on there. It gives so many vibes, and I think listeners will get a more well-rounded perspective of me as an artist.
