The Palm Beach Show 2025 Featuring Rashid Al Khalifa
Palm Beach County Convention Center
February 13-18, 2025
We are thrilled to announce that acclaimed Bahraini artist Rashid Al Khalifa will be featured at the 2025 Palm Beach Show. Known for his ability to intertwine traditional and contemporary architecture with the natural environment, Rashid's work is deeply influenced by the unique light, colors, and atmosphere of Bahrain's landscape. His recent creations include stunning wall sculptures and immersive installations that reflect both the past and future, capturing the essence of tradition and heritage while also embracing a futuristic sensibility.
As Bahrain has undergone significant transformations since Rashid began his artistic journey in the 1970s, his work continues to evoke the spirit of his homeland. Witness the vibrant pastel hues at dawn and the shimmering sunsets over turquoise waters, as Rashid seeks to immortalize the nostalgia of traditional architecture alongside the evolving landscape of modern Bahrain.
Bahrain's waters have long been a crucial source of livelihood, particularly in the early 1900s when Bahrain held the highest position in the international pearl trade, renowned for cultivating pearls of the greatest quality. The dhow, or traditional Bahraini fishing boat, was designed specifically for pearling and is now also an important symbol of Bahraini heritage. Such customs have shaped the culture of the Bahraini people, whose relationship to their land and surrounding water is synergetic.
