Pediatric Cancer Foundation Hosts 3rd Annual “Cards for a Cure” at Oceanbleu Resort
On Tuesday, August 5th, the Pediatric Cancer Foundation (PCF) welcomed supporters to the Oceanbleu Resort in Westhampton for its 3rd Annual “Cards for a Cure” event a memorable day of philanthropy, community, and high-stakes card games, all in the name of fighting childhood cancer.
The event brought together generous guests and sponsors in a beautiful seaside setting to raise crucial funds for PCF’s mission: funding groundbreaking pediatric cancer research and early phase clinical trials at leading institutions nationwide. Attendees enjoyed a spirited afternoon of cards, fine food, and connection — all while supporting a vital cause.
The success of “Cards for a Cure” was made possible thanks to the generosity of key sponsors, including:
The Racquet Lounge, Mario Fava Restaurant Group, Monica Fried Design, Juice Press, Poppy and Ronny Wurtzburger, Susan and Jeff Goldenberg, Holly and David Sherr, Mindy and Steven Shulman, and Nancy Joselson.
Funds raised from the event will benefit some of the nation’s top pediatric oncology institutions, including Columbia University Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and Johns Hopkins, among others.
Founded in 1970, PCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has distributed nearly $25 million to fuel the search for a cure. With continued cuts in federal funding, the role of organizations like PCF has never been more critical in helping doctors and researchers save young lives.
