Echoe of Elegance: A New Caribbean Luxury Fashion Gala Debuts in South Florida
South Florida’s fashion scene will welcome a new cultural fashion event this spring
On Saturday, April 4, the inaugural Echoe of Elegance Fashion Gala will debut at the Flamingo Room at The Village at Gulfstream Park, introducing a luxury platform celebrating Haitian excellence and Caribbean design through couture fashion, live music, and philanthropy.
The evening marks 20 years of design by Phelicia Dell, who will unveil the next chapter of her brand with the launch of the Phelicia Dell Luxury Line, “Timeless Elegance.” Previously recognized by Diane von Furstenberg with the Best Emerging Handbag Designer Award, Dell is expanding from luxury handbags into a broader fashion vision.
The runway presentation will spotlight designers from across the Caribbean diaspora, including:
• Phelicia Dell (Haiti) unveiling the Phelicia Dell Luxury Line
• Alinson Dumorne, founder of TBOSS RealFresh (Haiti/Miami), presenting menswear and womenswear
• Rhowan James (Jamaica/Toronto) showcasing elevated gala menswear
• Yves de Lima (Haiti/Montreal) presenting the MACA Museum collection
The evening begins with a red carpet arrival and runway show at the Flamingo Room before transitioning to an official gala celebration at the Sport of Kings Club. Guests can expect a full-scale runway presentation featuring 25–30 models, pop-up boutiques, and live entertainment.
The night concludes with a performance by Haitian kompa band Klass.
Echoe of Elegance also partners with Fleur de Vie, a nonprofit supporting education, health, and sustainability initiatives impacting more than 1,000 students in Haiti. The organization is led by designer Dayanne Danier, currently the only Haitian designer whose products are sold at Nordstrom in the United States.
With approximately 300 guests expected, Echoe of Elegance is positioned to become a new annual destination event spotlighting culturally rooted, globally inspired design.
