Vintage Fashion Revamped: Award-Winning Vintage Boutique “Iconic Atomic” Hosts All-Inclusive Runway Show + Pop-up Shop

BELLA Magazine partnered with The Iconic Atomic, a boutique vintage store in Palm Springs hosting an ALL INCLUSIVE vintage fashion show and pop up sale on April 20th and 21st in LA.

Ahh... Who doesn’t love shopping for vintage fashion? Rummaging through the bins of fashion history, you uncover a dress that makes you weep with its unique beauty, only to try it on and find it’s 3 sizes too small.

Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon scenario. Although the majority of women in the US are categorized as "plus size", the impossible standard that one must be skinny to be beautiful has persisted for years, especially in the fashion industry. Until now!

The Iconic Atomic vintage store in Palm Springs, voted Best Vintage Clothing Shop by Palm Springs Life Magazine 5 years in a row, has been described as a “chill storefront with a retro vibe selling vintage clothing & furniture from the 1950s, '60s & '70s”. When asked why she started it, owner Cat Slater explains simply, “We opened the store we wanted to shop in. There had to be something for everyone, which means plus size had to be a big part of the store, not just one small rack tucked away in a dark corner like in many other stores!”

And now Iconic Atomic is raising the bar even higher, hosting an ALL-INCLUSIVE vintage fashion show and pop-up sale so everyone, regardless of size, gender, race, or age, can find one-of-a-kind vintage clothing and accessories. It will be held on Saturday, April 20th, and Sunday, April 21st, from 11 AM - 6 PM and 11 AM - 5 PMrespectively, at the Church Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva, located at 2945 Eagle Rock Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90065.

Guests can browse through a curated selection of one-of-a-kind vintage clothing and accessories. Watch models of all sizes, races, genders, and ages strut their stuff on the runway showcasing iconic looks from the past. Whether you're a seasoned vintage collector or just looking for something special to add to your wardrobe, this event is the place for you!

To add to the fun, professional drag queen hostesses and entertainers, Anita Rose and Rhea Della Vera will be strutting their stuff in the fashion shows and will also be treating attendees to unique performances!

Tickets are available at eventbrite.com/e/iconic-atomics-vintage-fashion-show-and-pop-up-sale-tickets-856623974367 for $20 per person until April 3rd, 2024, $25 after that date, and $30 when purchased on the day of the event. $15 of each ticket may be applied toward an Iconic Atomic purchase.

But wait, there’s more! Iconic Atomic’s owner, Cat Slater believes passionately in giving back, especially to our animal friends. She will be donating 10% of all ticket sales to Catmandoo and Tommy’s Lil Angels animal rescue. Pet adoptions will be available on site. If you are looking for a new fur baby, we might just have the little one of your dreams.

Secure your place today for this unique combination of fashion, fur babies, and, of course, FUN!
