Diesel’s Denim Legacy

From festivals like Coachella to trendy socialites like Tana Mongeau and James Charles, denim has made its way back into our fashion radar. A brand that is no stranger to denim and is revolutionizing it since 1978 is Diesel. Just like the trend keeps making a comeback with a new twist, Diesel has taken a fabric that’s at the core of the brand’s heritage and identity and re-worked to keep it innovative, evolutionary, and relevant over the years.

The brand first introduced Diesel Rehab Denim as part of the FW22 runway, and a more comprehensive collection was launched for pre-Spring 2023. Partnering with sustainability specialist, Tejidos Royo, Diesel Rehab Denim represents the company’s most significant achievement to date in terms of sustainability.

The new approach 100% recycled cotton and elastane from pre-consumer waste blended with Tencel ™ Lyocell with REFIBRA technology. In addition, Dry Indigo® Technology, an innovative technique with zero water consumption, drastically reduces the amount of chemicals and energy used in the denim dying process. As Diesel continues to evolve, this is the most effective sustainable practice yet in their denim legacy.
