I remember walking into Friends of the ‘Well’s Kentucky Derby event last year and immediately feeling it. Not just the beauty though, yes, the hats were stunning, the florals were breathtaking, and every detail was thoughtfully curated but something deeper. There was a sense of purpose woven into the experience. A quiet understanding that this wasn’t just a social gathering. This was community in motion.
As someone who has spent years building BELLA around storytelling that matters, I’ve learned to recognize the difference between what looks good and what does good. And Friends of the ‘Well? They do both, exceptionally well.
That’s why returning this year felt different.
