Alexandra Richards Celebrates Birthday with Beach Clean-up + Fundraiser to Benefit Project Zero

Last weekend, Project Zero hosted their second annual Beach Clean-up, joining forces with Montauk Beach House and Alexandra Richards to clean one of Montauk’s busiest beaches: Nick’s Beach. With over 30 attendees gathering on the shore to assist the clean up team, four large garbage bags of trash were collected in under an hour and hauled away to the Montauk Recycling Center by a Topo Chico van. The charitable deed was followed by a celebratory Slim Aarons themed pool party and art auction fundraiser at Montauk Beach House, all of which was in celebration of Alexandra Richard’s birthday. Her wish - to raise donations for Project Zero and help save the ocean’s coral reefs.

Project Zero is an organization committed to protecting and restoring the ocean, in order to turn the tide on the climate crisis. The sustainability group raises awareness and funds through high profile events like Alexandra’s birthday beach clean-up, thus securing a global network of ocean sanctuaries that work collaboratively to get the ocean back in shape. Through meaningful acts to restore our oceans, Project Zero aims to achieve “zero pollution”, bringing back the healthy, pristine blue waters our ocean once flaunted.

As Alexandra and DJ Brandi Cyrus shared the turntables to get the after party going, unique art was auctioned off to benefit Project Zero. The items up for grabs included a Baron Von Fancy mystery painting, two Dime Club Tickets to a 2024-25 NY Islanders Game plus home delivery of Heineken, Lala Pajamas, as well as a painting and customized surfboard created by celebrated artist James Goldcrown. Alexandra even set aside a few of the recyclable items collected during the beach clean up to be transformed into a one of a kind art piece that will be auctioned off at next year’s fundraiser.

The party’s venue, Montauk Beach House, was nothing short of fabulous. Considered a must visit by Hamptons connoisseurs, the hot spot is located a mere block from the beach and is known for their phenomenal roster of pool-side DJs, lively parties, rotating art program featuring a curated selection of both local and national artists, and delicious poolside eats. The laid back yet luxe vibe leads the destination to be consistently hailed as one of the chicest spots out East.
