Building Empires: YESJULZ's Unstoppable Journey in Entertainment

She's curated iconic events at Coachella and Art Basel, launched a digital radio station, and even graced Netflix with "WAGS to Riches." But for YESJULZ, the journey is about more than just accolades; it's about authentic storytelling, community, and chasing lifelong dreams.

The Genesis of 1AM Media

"It started organically,"

YESJULZ explains. "While producing events, I naturally became the go-to for musical curation and content creation. 1AM Media was the logical next step, allowing me to merge my passion for hospitality with my desire to tell stories." A pivotal moment arrived with a digital radio platform on Dash, enabling her to broadcast live from events worldwide, sharing the energy with a global audience.

Her vision extends beyond events and radio. "I aspire to follow in the footsteps of creators like Reese Witherspoon," she says, "adapting the stories I've lived and witnessed over fifteen years in entertainment into compelling narratives for books, television, and film."

Landmark Moments and Industry Recognition

"Nearly a decade ago, Ryan Seacrest named me one of the top Snapchat accounts to follow," she recalls. "That catapulted my audience, leading to features in Forbes and The New York Times, who dubbed me the 'Queen of Snapchat.'" Further validation came with a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for marketing.

"But one of the most significant moments was when my first artist, 070 Shake, signed with G.O.O.D Music," she shares. "Seeing her contribute to four tracks on Kanye's album was a powerful affirmation that I was on the right path."

Staying Ahead in a Dynamic Industry

"Staying grounded and connected to creatives is key," she emphasizes. "Whether it's a dinner, brunch, or workout event, I'm always bringing together like-minded individuals. My friends are the future. My generation, the class of 2008, is now leading major companies, while the class of 2020 is poised to shape tomorrow. I'm fortunate to be surrounded by this incredible, ever-evolving community."

"WAGS to Riches" and Authenticity

"The Netflix show didn't drastically change my career," she explains. "I've always shared my life openly. However, the overwhelmingly positive response was unexpected. People saw a different side of me, beyond the preconceived notions. They understood that I'm human, learning and growing in real time."

Navigating Challenges as a Woman in Entertainment

"The challenges are numerous," she admits. "One major hurdle is people discrediting my work based on assumptions about my appearance. It's a delicate balance. I believe women should express themselves freely, but I've also had to combat the idea that my success is tied to anything other than my hard work."

"I overcame it by embracing my authentic self," she says. "I decided to stop caring about others' opinions. My network is my superpower."

Iconic Events and Unforgettable Moments

"My favorite Coachella event was the 1AM Vibes party with Chase and Virgil Abloh," she reflects. "Virgil agreeing to DJ without major sponsors meant the world. And at Art Basel, my first event at The Delano was unforgettable, also thanks to Virgil. That night, with Mike Will, Rae Sremmurd, and others, the energy was electric. I even got fired and rehired in the same night!"

"1AM Fest in 2019 was another highlight," she adds. "It was crucial to showcase Miami's local talent, which is often overlooked during major events."

Advice for Aspiring Creatives

"Study your idols, find a mentor, and build meaningful relationships," she advises. "Consistency and kindness are essential. My network has been invaluable. Never give up, and remember that everyone you meet has potential."

Driven by Passion and Purpose

"My mother has always been my inspiration," she shares. "Now, my daughter fuels my drive. I want to give her every opportunity to succeed. I am excited to see what she will do with all the access and resources that I will provide."

"Music is my next chapter," she reveals. "I'm focusing on my lifelong dream of being a singer. I'm giving myself until the end of 2025 to pursue it fully. It's never too late to chase your dreams."
