Toast to Elena Honch, the Designer Behind Celeb-Loved, Custom, Crystal Wedding Glassware
Elena Honchariuk is a wedding champagne glass designer from Chernivtsi, Ukraine. After life and death medical complications, she decided to follow her heart’s calling and transition from the medical field to the production of personalized, designer glassware. With the support of her husband, they created their family business, Wedding Art Gallery (WAG.) Bootstrapping the business and selling on Etsy, Elena soon faced her first real challenge – the pandemic and quarantine in 2020. As people began to recover from the hardships of the pandemic, Elena noticed a thirst for life and connection, and therefore the celebration of special days. Her customers inspired her to keep pursuing her dream and expanding her business.
In 2021, Elena moved her business to a spacious workshop and amassed a team of 16 employees. At that time, the WAG project fulfilled the dreams of thousands of brides from all over the world. With the awareness of the value of her products and the desire to expand the assortment, she rebranded and continued her creative path under the name Elena Honch.
However, on February 24, Russia invaded her home and began a terrible war against the people of Ukraine, which shocked the whole world. Stunned and saddened by what was happening around her, the war brought Elena back to reality, motivated her team to continue doing what they do best and support the country's economy by providing jobs. They continued to work, interview, and grow, despite the days when they would sit in a shelter for hours during an air raid, and once the threat was over, it was back to work and life. Her mantra, “light always defeats darkness.”
In 2022, Elena Honch was being noticed by celebrities, stars, influencers from various fields, and bloggers. The lavish wedding of actor and model Chase Mattson and Tik-tok superstar Kelianne Stankus catapulted her brand. Soon, she was crafting custom wedding glasses for Kazz Kumar and Oritse Williams, Vanessa Villela and Nick Hardy, Cheyenne Floyd and Zach Davis, Tara Davis and Hunter Woodhall, and the incredible Hollywood couple Taylor Lautner and Taylor Dome.
Now, internationally recognized, Elena Honch has cemented her place in the wedding industry with her heartfelt story and her gorgeous craftsmanship of keepsake wedding mementos.
