The Art of Refined Beauty: Inside Avabello, Miami’s Most Luxurious Aesthetic Spa

In a city defined by its glamour, sun-soaked allure, and unrelenting pursuit of beauty, one name is quickly emerging as the pinnacle of refined self-care: Avabello Aesthetics. Located by the prestigious South of Fifth, Miami Beach, Avabello isn’t just another medspa—it’s a sanctuary where science, artistry, and luxury converge to deliver transformative results under the direction of one of the city’s most respected aesthetic minds and renown plastic surgeon.

Led by Dr. Benjamin Eskenazi, a double board-certified plastic surgeon, Avabello stands alone as one of the few medspas in Miami offering physician-led care with uncompromising medical standards. Every treatment is approached with the precision of surgical expertise and the elegance of bespoke beauty.

At Avabello, the experience goes beyond the surface. It’s about empowerment, confidence, and personalized care that honors your natural features while enhancing your unique beauty. From the moment you enter its serene, meticulously designed space, you know you’re in the hands of a team that values excellence at every level.

In the following interview, Dr. Eskenazi shares his philosophy on aesthetics, the importance of medical oversight in cosmetic treatments, and what makes Avabello the trusted destination for those who demand nothing but the best.

1.  Dr. Eskenazi, what inspired you to open Avabello, and what vision did you have for creating this unique aesthetics experience in Miami Beach?

I have always been a free thinker and for most of my career I have gone against the grain.  After I finished residency I joined a traditional group private practice with some partners and I was very successful in terms of practice growth but I just felt constrained and unable to deliver the quality of care I wanted and bring my vision for how medicine should be practiced to reality.

2. Avabello is among the few medspas in Miami Beach led by a board-certified plastic surgeon. How does this set your practice apart from other aesthetic centers in the area?

Miami is considered by many to be the “wild west” of aesthetic medicine.  Here you have many unqualified or under qualified people practicing medicine.  I have seen so much poorly done and even botched work here. It’s sad and it gives the whole industry a bad rep.  When you’re in the hands of a board certified plastic surgeon you know you are getting the very best aesthetics has to offer- whether thats a minor botox treatment, a full face laser, or a complete cosmetic surgery makeover you are in the hands of an expert.

3. Safety and precision are at the core of Avabello’s philosophy. How does your background as a plastic surgeon influence the treatments and patient care provided at the medspa?

I tell my patients all the time- you aren’t necessarily just paying me for your treatment, you’re also paying for all of the years of training and expertise.  I spent 17 years in school becoming a plastic surgeon and now I have another 8 years in private practice.  I put safety and results above all else but you should also know that if there is a setback or side effect of your treatment you are in the best hands with somebody who’s going to ensure you get the best outcome.

4. Your expertise spans decades in the field of aesthetics. What are some of the most common concerns patients come to you with, and how do you tailor treatments to achieve the most natural and effective results?

I think for many people their aesthetic journey begins with an unflattering photo or waking up tired and thinking “wow I’m getting old.” Sometimes it’s a landmark birthday.  In my clinic I don’t have a sales agenda.  I ask my patients to let me be their aesthetic guide- tell me what bothers you and I will tell you the cause and offer you a treatment plan that fits your budget and your lifestyle.  This is a marathon and I want to run every mile with you.

5. Many people seek aesthetic treatments but may feel overwhelmed by their options. What advice do you give clients who are considering injectables, laser treatments, or other non-surgical procedures for the first time?

Start small and focus on one area.  You don’t have to transform yourself from head to toe.   Focusing on one area makes it feel more manageable, reduces the amount of information coming at you, and allows you to build trust with your aesthetic provider.

6. The concept of “natural beauty” is evolving in the world of aesthetics. How do you and your team at Avabello balance enhancing features while maintaining an authentic and refreshed look?

There’s broad recognition that aesthetics has gotten out of hand in the last few years.  Celebrity and reality TV culture has given regular people this idea that seeing a plastic surgeon or going to a med spa means looking overdone.  In my clinic there is a special emphasis on normal proportions and minimizing the appearance of scars.  When somebody sees my patients out and about they should be thinking “wow they must be sleeping great” or “I need their personal trainer” not “who’s your plastic surgeon.”

7. Avabello’s approach to anti-aging and self-care is personalized for each client. Can you share insight into your signature treatment plans and what clients can expect from their experience at the medspa?

The law requires med spas to be “supervised” by a doctor but it doesn’t say that person actually needs to be there.  The majority of med spas in Florida have virtually no real oversight.  I’m heavily involved in everything I do- you can find me in my clinic nearly every day, 7 days a week.  Many aesthetic clinics have a “treatment coordinator” (aka salesperson) who assesses you and then sells you stuff.  In my clinic I perform every single aesthetic assessment regardless of how big or small your concern is.

8. As someone deeply immersed in the field of aesthetics, what trends do you foresee shaping the future of non-surgical cosmetic treatments, and how is Avabello positioned to stay ahead of the curve?

I think the future of aesthetics more and more lies with energy based treatments (like lasers and radio frequency devices), used in small doses as “prejuvenation.”  When I began my career I used to see patients in their 50s and 60s with advanced aging concerns who needed to spend quite a bit of time and money to address a lifetime of changes.  More and more now I see a recognition amongst younger patients that - just like diet and exercise protects your internal organs from damage and aging - skincare and “tweakments” can keep you looking younger for longer.  I think in the decades to come this will translate into more people visiting medical spas and people delaying (or perhaps not needing) surgical treatments later on.
