Red Carpet Glam at the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards
The star-studded red carpet at the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards was filled with glam and the celebs were serving up some of the season’s hottest beauty trends. Here’s a beauty breakdown for some of our favorite looks and the celebrity makeup artists that created them.
NATASHA LYONNE

“Inspired by 60’s Hollywood glamour I created a tone-on-tone color scheme for Natasha’s makeup punctuated by extended eyeliner and a graphic lash look.”
GET THE LOOK
“I built up Natasha’s lashes using Lashify Gossamers in Lashmap A+10, SD.12, SB.14, SD.14, SB.14, placed from inner to outer corner for a starlike, popping, lash look. I prepped her lashes with Lashify Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Water followed by a gentle application of Lashify Bondage. While waiting for the bond to slightly dry I laid out my Lashmap so I could move smoothly from one size Gossamer to the next. I then applied a coat of Lashify Whisper Light Flexible Bond, and with the patented Lashify Fuse Control Wand I applied each light-as-a-feather lash to the underside of Natasha’s lash bed. Once the Lashify Gossamers were all applied I fused them in place and finished with a light coat of Water Poof Sealer to remove any stickiness.”

“I wanted the focus to be on Sarah’s skin and her eyes; soft, creamy, peachy tones and full, fluffy, voluminous lashes ringed in peach copper smoke.”

“For Sarah's lashes I wanted natural (adjacent) volume and a tiny bit of extra length, so I reached for my favorite style in the Lashify library, the Plushy. I started with P13 on the outer edge moving inward which allowed me to place the outside end lash where it would lift the eye the most. I followed with Plushy 12,11,10,9,9 for a subtle fluffy wing.”

To get the look, Kasha noted, “I really wanted to focus on her doe, doll-like eyes, using lashes that deliver volume but also look like an extension of her natural lashes, so I mixed and matched KISS strip lashes and imPRESS Press-On Falsies clusters to match the opulence of her gorgeous Balmain gown!”
To create the look, Kasha had Quinta look down without fully closing her eyes and placed the new imPRESS Press-On Falsies in Voluminous ($16.99) underneath the natural lash line in sections, starting at the outer corners. Temeka first prepped the nails using the manicure stick and file, included in the Salon X-tend LED Soft Gel System Starter Kit, then cleaned, filed, and buffed the nails. She then wiped the nails clean with the included prep pad. She pre-selected Quinta’s nail sizes to ensure a proper fit then applied the gel adhesive inside the numbered circle of each nail ensuring the perfect amount of adhesive for optimal results. The nails were then flash cured under the LED light for 5-7 seconds, she removed any excess gel adhesive, and finish cured for 1-2 minutes. Temeka customized the look to complement Quinta’s custom Balmain crystal dress, creating an almond shape once cured, Quinta’s go-to. The sheer shade provided the ideal base for nail art, adding a sparkly gold V-French design and a gold crystal at the cuticle on the pointer and ring finger, playing off the warm tone of Quinta’s dress.
