Backstage Beauty: Borghese Delivers Runway-Ready Skin at Prabal Gurung’s NYFW

Before the music started and the lights went up, models lined up backstage — fully glammed, as only New York Fashion Week can deliver — ready to walk the runway the moment they were told to “go,” just as practiced hours earlier.

Cue the spotlight.

The first model steps out, her outfit commanding attention, her expression stoic, her skin glowing under the lights. While the artistry of Prabal Gurung took center stage, the luminous complexion seen on every model was brought to life by Italian skincare brand Borghese.

Partnering with Gurung for New York Fashion Week, Borghese National Esthetician and Skin Expert Gabriel Taylor worked backstage delivering runway-ready skin, with just two minutes per model. Amid the fast-paced energy behind the scenes, “Our secret weapon was the Fango Advanced Active Mud Mask, delivering fast, visible benefits,” Taylor shared. “Amid the backstage chaos of NYFW, the Borghese team created a much-needed moment of calm between shows.”

Now, that same runway glow can be recreated at home with Borghese’s simple three-step routine. Rooted in the idea of less makeup and more skincare, the streamlined system delivers Italian spa–level results without the extra steps.

First, the Advanced Fango Active and Delicato Mud Masks work to nourish and detoxify the skin, helping create a smooth, balanced base.

Next, the Curaforte Moisture Intensifier floods skin with hydration for an immediate plumping effect.

Lastly, the routine finishes with Power-C Firming and Brightening Serum Capsules, boosting radiance and leaving skin luminous, refreshed, and camera-ready.

The finished result proves that high-impact skincare doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming.

Backstage, the focus wasn’t on covering up with makeup – it was on letting skin look like skin, hydrated and glowy. A philosophy that feels just as powerful under runway lights as it does in your own bathroom mirror, brought to life through Borghese’s partnership with Prabal Gurung for Fall 2026 New York Fashion Week.
