YOSHIKI Stuns at Suzuka with Historic F1 Anthem Performance Ahead of World Tour

Former BELLA cover star YOSHIKI delivered a powerful, genre-defining moment on the global stage, performing Japan’s national anthem, “Kimigayo,” at the 2026 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix finals in Suzuka.

In front of 130,000 spectators and broadcast to audiences in over 180 countries, the composer and rock icon reimagined the anthem through a striking fusion of classical piano and signature rock drumming. What began as a quiet, refined melody built into a commanding crescendo, setting the tone for one of the most highly anticipated races of the season.

The performance was met with a thunderous ovation and immediate global reaction, further solidifying YOSHIKI’s reputation as one of the most influential and boundary-pushing artists of his generation.

The moment also signals the start of a new chapter. Fresh off the Suzuka stage, YOSHIKI returned to Tokyo to prepare for his sold-out residency, launching his Yoshiki Classical 2026 World Tour.

This summer, he will make his highly anticipated U.S. return with two exclusive performances at Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall on July 16 and 17, titled Scarlet Night and Violet Night. Each evening will feature a distinct setlist, offering audiences a rare, immersive experience that blends cinematic composition with world-class acoustics.

Fan club pre-sale began March 26, with general on-sale opening April 10, positioning these performances as some of the most anticipated tickets of the season.
