Shepard Fairey Takes Center Stage at Hamptons Fine Art Fair with One Art Space

This July, one of contemporary art's most recognizable voices arrives in the Hamptons as One Art Space presents a focused exhibition of works by acclaimed artist Shepard Fairey at the 2026 Hamptons Fine Art Fair.

Taking place July 9–12 at the Southampton Fairgrounds, the presentation, curated by One Art Space owner and gallerist MaryAnn Giella McCulloh, will showcase a selection of limited-edition works that explore themes of peace, equality, liberty, social awareness, and the enduring power of visual storytelling.

Few artists have shaped contemporary visual culture quite like Fairey. Best known for his iconic OBEY campaign and the Barack Obama "Hope" poster, the artist has spent decades creating imagery that exists at the intersection of activism, politics, graphic design, music, and popular culture. His work has moved seamlessly from city streets to galleries, museums, and private collections around the world, becoming instantly recognizable while continuing to provoke meaningful conversation.

At Hamptons Fine Art Fair, visitors will have the opportunity to experience several signed and numbered works that reflect Fairey's commitment to social consciousness and civic engagement.

Among the featured pieces is Lennon Peace and Liberty (Red) 2/6 (2023), a silkscreen and mixed-media collage on wood depicting John Lennon standing before the Statue of Liberty while flashing a peace sign. The work unites two enduring symbols of freedom and anti-war advocacy, creating a striking visual statement that feels as relevant today as ever.

Also on view is Peace Fingers with Poppies 3/6 (2023), a limited-edition silkscreen on wood that champions nonviolence and diplomacy through Fairey's signature graphic style. The exhibition further explores themes of humanity and social equity through Universal Dignity 3/6 (2022), a powerful work that emphasizes shared responsibility, equality, and compassion.

"One Art Space is proud to bring Shepard Fairey's work to Hamptons Fine Art Fair in a focused way," says curator MaryAnn Giella McCulloh. "These pieces speak directly to the moment. They are visually powerful, but they also carry important ideas about peace, liberty, dignity, and responsibility. Shepard's work has the rare ability to be both instantly recognizable and deeply meaningful."

The exhibition reflects One Art Space's ongoing commitment to presenting artists whose work carries cultural significance and a distinctive point of view. Founded in Tribeca in 2011, the gallery has built a reputation for showcasing both museum-caliber artists and emerging talent, while creating a platform where contemporary voices can engage with broader cultural conversations.

For Hamptons collectors and art enthusiasts, the presentation offers a compelling opportunity to experience the work of an artist whose imagery continues to shape public discourse and contemporary art history. As the Hamptons Fine Art Fair welcomes galleries, collectors, and cultural tastemakers from around the world, Fairey's work serves as a reminder of art's unique ability to challenge, inspire, and endure.
