PASSÉ: Brad Walls’ Bold Ballet Vision Lands in New York

This September, New York City plays host to PASSÉ, a bold new ballet-inspired exhibition by internationally acclaimed aerial photographer Brad Walls. Best known for his Pools From Above series, which earned global recognition for its striking overhead compositions, Walls now turns his lens to the world of classical ballet — capturing its precision, artistry, and vulnerability from a breathtaking new perspective.

Three years in the making, PASSÉ is Walls’ most ambitious project to date. The exhibition culminates in imagery from one of the largest choreographed ballet photoshoots ever staged: 60 dancers, a 10-person crew, and a sweeping red carpet that doubled as both stage and canvas. Shot entirely from above, the resulting work transforms ballet into a cinematic experience that feels intimate, powerful, and immersive.

Visitors will walk among life-sized images displayed at eye level, bringing Walls’ aerial artistry directly into their world. Adding to the personal experience, each guest will receive a postcard from one of the featured ballerinas (with 150 available daily), a keepsake that underscores the tactile, human connection behind the performance.

Exhibition Details

September 12–14, 2025
10 AM – 6 PM
347 Broome Street, New York, NY

PASSÉ is more than an exhibition — it’s an invitation to witness ballet’s beauty reimagined, suspended between discipline and emotion, intimacy and spectacle.
