The afternoon continued with a brief intermission for the iconic Hamptons Fashion Week Fashion Icon Awards presented by Founder of Hamptons Fashion Week and CEO of DCG Media Group, Dee Rivera

This year it was important for the show to represent the fashion innovators that are driving the industry forward in every sense of the word. Dr. Christina Rahm received the Sustainable Fashion Award for her immense scientific contributions to the manufacturing and production practices of her signature line Merci Dupre Clothiers Enviroware. As a scientific researcher, humanitarian, entrepreneur, and author, Dr. Christina Rahm wears many hats but with the foundation of fashion for a better future. Enviroware brings new layers of meaning to eco-fashion luxury with environmentally friendly technology that repels hazardous toxins. The line will host patented nano-biotech technology embedded into textiles that offer optimal protection against toxins, EMF radiation, heavy metals, and viruses —  all of this accomplished without sacrificing an ounce of style. Hamptons Fashion Week is excited to showcase Dr. Christina Rahm’s work and honor her as one of its 2023 Fashion Icons.

In addition, Edvin Thompson has been making waves in the New York fashion scene and is bringing his Theophilio collection to the Hamptons Fashion Week catwalk. Theophilo is representative of the entanglement of Thompson’s nostalgic years of adolescence in Jamaica, identity as an immigrant in the United States and his interaction with New York City’s progressive culture. His recent accolades include creating a “new-age Cher” inspired look for Ice Spice on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and the Theophilo designer won CFDA Fashion Awards honor of American Emerging Designer of the Year 2021. For his persistence in breaking down fashion norms, Hamptons Fashion Week honored Edvin Thompson with the Trendsetter of the Year Award

The Fashion Icon Awards concluded with honoring Creative Director Michelle Ochs as the Fashion Icon for Hervé Léger. Hervé Léger is known for its iconic bandage dresses that celebrate and mold to its wearer's figures. The brand presents collections that bring audiences back in time to its Parisian roots with a through-line of modern design. The latest collections of the brand showcase the evolution of Hervé Léger with signature dresses balanced with new products including bodysuits, skirts, tops, sweaters, and more. Michelle Ochs embarks on a new journey in her fashion career as she takes her expertise on accentuating the female form to advance Hervé Léger creative direction for NYFW. Hamptons Fashion Week® was thrilled to honor her with the Hamptons Fashion Week Fashion Icon Award 2023

The final shows concluded with presentations by Christina Rahm, Edvin Thompson, and Michelle Och’s latest collection for Hervé Léger.

Attendees made their way to a chic afterparty at Main Prospect Southampton for celebration cocktails after a successful afternoon of full-frontal shows.

Sunday, 8/27, Day 3:

The gorgeous tablescapes were curated by Picnic and Peonies, featuring a bagel breakfast catered by Goldberg’s Famous Bagels.

Guests enjoyed a special book signing by Fashion Icon Award Winner and designer, Dr. Christina Rahm, for her latest cookbook “Cure the Causes.” As an international scientific leader, formulator, inventor and patent writer, “Cure the Causes” sparked from Dr. Christina Rahm’s knowledge of medical and clinical research. With a Masters in Science as well as doctorate in counseling psychology, a PhD in strategic sciences and post-doctorate in nano-bio technology, Rahm is about detoxing the environment and helping people detox their bodies from harmful pollutants.
