Safar Global Foundation Hosts “The Beauty of Giving” Dinner at The Surf Lodge Benefiting the Flaviana Matata Foundation
August 22nd in Montauk set the stage for an unforgettable night of purpose and connection as twin sisters and social impact leaders Shabnam and Shay Safarzadeh hosted The Beauty of Giving Dinner at the iconic Surf Lodge.
The philanthropic soirée, presented by the Safar Global Foundation in partnership with the Flaviana Matata Foundation, brought together an exclusive mix of leaders across fashion, beauty, entertainment, and philanthropy — all united by a shared commitment to change. Against the glow of the Montauk sunset, guests gathered for a night of fine dining, meaningful conversation, and impact-driven action.
The evening raised $40,000, completing the funds needed to finish construction of a vital WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) facility at a girls’ school in Tanzania. This life-changing project, slated for completion in December, will provide hundreds of young women with access to safe, clean facilities — empowering their education and well-being.
Throughout the night, Shabnam and Shay shared the deeply personal roots of their mission, shaped by their upbringing as daughters of a single mother who brought them from Iran to the U.S. in pursuit of education and opportunity. That legacy, they shared, continues to fuel their dedication to expanding access for young women globally.
The Beauty of Giving Dinner was more than a celebration; it was a testament to the power of sisterhood, community, and philanthropy to create meaningful, lasting change.
