Miami's style scene is about to get a whole lot more glamorous! Iconic footwear house Manolo Blahnik has announced the opening of its first-ever boutique in southern Florida, landing in the heart of the prestigious Miami Design District in February 2025. This marks the brand's third standalone location in the United States, solidifying its growing presence in the American market.
Nestled amongst the district's cutting-edge fashion, art galleries, and design showrooms, the new Manolo Blahnik boutique promises to be a destination in itself. The space, conceived by the brand's signature design firm, Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + Design, will boast a striking geometric façade with a circular motif that flows seamlessly into the interior's bespoke rugs and wallpaper. Cleverly designed rotating wall slats will offer flexible and visually appealing displays for the coveted shoes and small leather goods.
The design of the boutique is a thoughtful nod to the Art Deco movement, inspired by the work of Josef Hoffmann, a favorite artist of Manolo Blahnik. Architect Nick Leith-Smith has translated Hoffmann's geometric forms, ornamental touches, and bold monochromatic aesthetic into rich materials and a sophisticated black and white color scheme.
To celebrate the Miami opening, Manolo Blahnik has created an exclusive capsule collection of 13 shoes in six distinct styles. Shoe aficionados can look forward to a playful pink suede update of the iconic MAYSALE mule, a kitten heel first seen in Isaac Mizrahi's 1991 runway show, and an elegant bi-material rendition of the classic CHAOS sandal in navy blue nappa leather with a chic gingham toe strap.
Manolo Blahnik himself expresses his enthusiasm: "Miami has such a fantastic energy! The people are so welcoming, and the city's unique Latin American and Cuban influences are something I truly adore. The Design District, with its beauty and dedication to design, felt like the perfect location for our new store."
CEO Kristina Blahnik echoes this sentiment: "Opening in Miami has been a long-held dream, and we are thrilled to finally be part of this vibrant community. We look forward to welcoming both new and loyal Manolo Blahnik clients to our new home in the Design District."
The boutique will launch with the brand's Spring 2025 collection, embodying Manolo Blahnik's signature blend of heritage and innovation, with a focus on bold colors, distinctive character, and unparalleled craftsmanship.
