Malan Breton Debuts SS26 Collection “The Age of the Machine, The Heart of Humanity”

Designer Malan Breton unveiled his Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear and menswear collections at the Léman Ballroom during New York Fashion Week with an immersive show titled “The Age of the Machine, The Heart of Humanity.”

The narrative-driven presentation unfolded in four acts—The Heart, Time, Transformation, and Legacy—blending futuristic structures with the opulence of the Gilded Age. Silks, brocades, and master tailoring echoed late 19th-century grandeur, while sharp, innovative silhouettes carried the story into the future.

The show featured Broadway stars and Tony Award winners walking the runway as living characters, merging the worlds of theater and high fashion. Each act held symbolic weight: The Heart, in support of charity CaringKind, honored Alzheimer’s caregivers; Time collaborated with King Seiko to embody precision; Transformation showcased reinvention with wigs by Wigs.com and hair by legendary stylist Vivienne Mackinder; and Legacy, in collaboration with SohoMuse, celebrated heritage and artistic community.

For the first time, Breton debuted as both designer and composer, writing an original score that blended orchestral arrangements with futuristic soundscapes, underscoring the show’s theme of mechanical precision versus human emotion.

Notable attendees included Jessica Pimentel, Danny Burstein, Priscilla Lopez, Baayork Lee, Jean Shafiroff, Consuelo Vanderbilt-Costin, Lucia Hwong Gordon, and more. Beauty partners included Odilis Lashes, with hair by Back of Bottle.

With theatricality, couture craftsmanship, and a philanthropic mission, Malan Breton’s SS26 show was a highlight of New York Fashion Week—an exploration of fashion as both art and humanity.
