Last Friday, July 25th, celebrated the 20th anniversary of Alix Strauss’s book, The Joy of Funerals, with a sip and shop book signing hosted by Grey/Ven and its CEO, Scott Weissman, at the East Hampton flagship store.
Guests were welcomed with a glass of rosé to toast the book, a story that blends the undertones of Six Feet Under and Sex and the City.
Exciting news: the book is in early development with A24 for a series adaptation, so stay tuned for the thrilling tale as it hits the screen.

Guests were also invited to shop Grey/Ven’s highly sought-after summer handbag and belt collection, along with the brand’s pre-fall line. Offerings included a Hobo bag, ideal for summer outings, and a Beach Tote designed to soak up the sun. Linen sets also made appearances, each item a hallmark of the luxurious Hamptons’ style.

The guest list was one for the books, featuring designer Rebecca Minkoff, influencers Jocelyn Binder and Kari Nautique, Social Life Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Devorah Rose, Spotlight Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief and Founder Sydney Sadick, and luxury events planner Billy Folchetti, among other notable attendees.
