Feel the Love: Gurus Media Closes Out NYFW with a Chic GURUtine’s Luncheon at Maison Close
New York Fashion Week ended on a romantic note as Gurus Media hosted its exclusive GURUtine’s Luncheon at Maison Close in SoHo. On Monday, February 16, Publisher and CEO Derek Warburton welcomed an intimate group of tastemakers, creatives, and industry leaders to celebrate love, fashion, and culture in true Parisian style.
Set inside the famed French dining destination, the afternoon felt like a scene straight out of Emily in Paris. Royal blue velvet banquettes, dramatic crimson drapery, oversized florals, and a playful mural of classic can-can dancers transformed the Manhattan space into a dreamy escape. Gurus Magazine and Los Angeles Inquisitor covers were displayed throughout the room, seamlessly blending editorial storytelling with real-world community.
The guest list reflected the intersection of fashion, media, and culture. Wellness advocate Hilaria Baldwin attended with her daughter Carmen, alongside designer Nicole Miller, RHOBH star Sutton Stracke, ANTM veteran Nolé Marin, publicist Anna Rothschild, painter Marc Dennis, and Beauty Guru Magazine Editor-in-Chief Robyn Newmark. Gurus Magazine Managing Editor Ashley Kane, actress Kimberley Kim, entrepreneur Bill Weidemann, The Blonde Italian’s Lauren Falcione, and relationship expert Kara Francis added to the vibrant mix. BELLA Magazine CEO Vanessa Coppes was also in attendance, joining the celebration as NYFW came to a close.
Guests sipped signature cocktails, Young Hearts and All Things Nice, crafted with Broken Shed Vodka from New Zealand’s Lake Wanaka, known for its smooth, clean profile. The luncheon unfolded family-style with classic French indulgences including garlic butter escargot, salmon tartare, braised short rib tortellini, and grilled red snapper. Dessert featured an airy egg-white tart and mousse crème wafer, paired with espresso for a refined finish.
Before the afternoon concluded, Warburton addressed guests with remarks centered on authenticity, legacy, loyalty, and innovation, underscoring the relationships that have shaped Gurus Media’s community over decades.
Thoughtfully curated gift bags featuring Nicole Miller Beauty, Yensa, and luxury lifestyle brands sent guests home with a lasting impression of an afternoon defined by elegance, connection, and celebration.
As Fashion Week wrapped, Gurus Media’s GURUtine’s Luncheon proved that sometimes the most memorable moments happen off the runway.
