Washington, DC | Her Money, Her Power: Advancing Latina Financial Futures

BELLA Magazine’s CEO and EIC, Vanessa Coppes, joined a dynamic group of Latina leaders for the “Her Money, Her Power: Advancing Latina Financial Futures” panel during the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. Hosted at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, the event brought together changemakers across finance, media, and business to discuss empowering Latinas in building wealth, leadership, and financial confidence.

The session was moderated by Jackie Padilla, of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and featured a distinguished panel including:

  • LeAna Flores, H&R Block

  • Lisa Martinez Wolmart, Prudential Financial

  • Sylvia Veitia, Synchrony

  • Marisol Sanchez, McDonald’s Hispanic Owner-Operators Association

  • Vanessa Coppes, BELLA Media + Co.

Together, the panelists explored how financial access, mentorship, and representation are vital to advancing equity and opportunity for Latinas. Their insights, drawn from personal experience and professional leadership, underscored the power of visibility and collaboration within the community.
