Meet Ia’s Threads: Sustainable Luxury Handbags

Meet Ia’s Threads, a collection of exotically fabulous and environmentally friendly handbags and minaudières. Ia’s Threads handbags are eco-friendly and utilize sustainable textiles, founded by philanthropist, mother, and designer, Ia Faraoni.

For Ia, fashion was an integral part of her upbringing. Born and raised in the Philippines, Ia helped her parents in their family fashion store there. Her youth led her to have the mission to break the cycle of poverty and connect cultural differences through fashion by bringing Philippine-made products to American/global mainstream markets.

Ia’s Threads specializes in intricately handwoven handbags and minaudières from natural Buri tree fibers produced from exotic provinces in the Philippines, by doing so she has created more job opportunities in the Philippines. These handbags provide a unique style, resulting in them being a head-turning statement piece.

Each piece at “Ia’s Threads” is handcrafted and prides itself on having sprinkles of exotic taste. The eco-friendly handbags contain natural plant fibers, mother pearl shells, and precious leather.  Ia prides her collection on meeting a standard of perfection. Ia also debuted her Zero-Waste Fashion Dress Collection in 2018 that have been worn by celebrities, published in international magazines, and has been featured on new stations. She strives for her brand to make a striking statement.
