Brooke's story begins with a diagnosis of trichotillomania, a condition marked by compulsive hair pulling and subsequent hair loss. BEFORE
To help Brooke cover up her hair loss area from trichotillomania, Flora designed a CNC hair and scalp prosthetic. The CNC is a 3D printed hair and scalp prosthetic made with unprocessed, healthy, human hair that is customized for the wearer. The prosthetic was made to be identical to Brooke’s growing hair.
As Brooke's wedding day approached, the opportunity to showcase her journey in a bridal photoshoot became a celebration of her metamorphosis. Flora Fuentes and Unique Hair Concepts curated three distinct looks, each highlighting the versatility of hair and scalp prosthetics, allowing Brooke to exude elegance and grace in every frame captured by the talented photographer Nelson N Castillo.
The collaborative efforts of creative talents, including makeup artist Anya Frankenberg and stylist Valerie Estrada, culminated in a visual narrative of resilience, beauty, and empowerment.
