Beyond Paint, The DIY Project Solution for Professional Results

If you are looking for inspiration to complete a DIY home project with professional results, Beyond Paint is the perfect solution!

If you’re like me, when I think of home the words warmth, peace, and inspiration come to mind. After working from home for many years, I wanted to change the ambiance and refresh my space. My first DIY project was my kitchen, which included a refresh and searching for new appliances.

One of the first things you notice when you walk into a kitchen is the cabinets. If your kitchen needs an update, the cabinetry and countertops will make the biggest impact. If a remodel isn't in the budget, consider repainting like I did!

After researching online, I discovered Beyond Paint. I loved the before and after videos, consumer testimonies, and all the color options Beyond Paint offers. Quite honestly, I realized that Beyond Paint is one of the easiest ways to update vanities, cabinets, and such on a budget.

Below, I’ll share my favorite before and after photos that prove that the correct products and color can go a long way! The Builder-grade kitchen cabinets were very popular in the 80s but placed the kitchen in a particular era. The cabinets had good bones, but they didn’t have a distinct design style, lacked color, and needed some updating.

After much debate (black vs. white), I decided to be adventurous and go for the unexpected black cabinets (Beyond Paint color, Licorice). With the high ceilings, the black cabinetry adds a dramatic effect without feeling too loud or busy.

The Beyond Paint Licorice color is the perfect addition to the newly painted white brick fireplace and beige walls. You can never go wrong with a classic color like white or black. I loved the idea of black cabinetry and settled on nickel hardware. What a great decision!  In my opinion, this kitchen is both stylish and chic!

Beyond Paint products are formulated for Cabinets, Furniture, Countertops, Vanities, Doors, Accessories, and more. The all-in-one paint is a bonder, primer & finisher that cures to a durable washable surface in just one or two coats, making it more durable than any paint on the market!

The water-based products with the newest Nano Technology (extra durability and 3x paint coverage) are the easiest to apply for any DIYer or seasoned pro, giving everyone a professional grade finish in no time, with less effort for less money.

Beyond paint will bond to wood, metal, Formica, laminate, plastic, granite, linoleum, masonry, tile, and even glass! Beyond Paint is non-toxic and hazardous, air and pollutant-free.

No stripping, no sanding, and no priming needed!

I know what it takes to do a full painting job with stripping, sanding, painting, and protecting. However, I'm thrilled with the results! I love the look of painted cabinets with Beyond Paint!

With Beyond Paint, a little goes a long way. The application was a breeze, I used less than a quart of paint and the application went smoothly and evenly without brush strokes. I did not need to use a primer or sealer, which saved me time and effort. The paint adhered well to the cabinet surface, and the coverage was excellent with just two coats.

The finish is beautiful, with a subtle sheen that gives my cabinets a refreshed, professional look. The paint dried quickly and did not have a strong odor, which made the application process pleasant. I also appreciate that Beyond Paint is water-based and low in VOCs, which makes it not have the normal paint fumes I have experienced with other paint projects.

Instructions

1.  Prep and clean cabinets.

2.  Remove hardware and doors.

3.  Paint the first coat on the cabinet box.

4.  Reattach cabinet doors to paint them.

5.  Use a brush to get in the creases or crevices.

6.   Roll remaining flat surfaces, painting doors inside and out, and drawer fronts. Leave them open to avoid touching wet paint to dry and seal.

7.   Allow 2-4 hours for the first coat to dry.

8.   Apply a second coat and let dry.

9.   If a touch-up is needed, do so accordingly.

10. Let dry and add hardware.

If you scroll back and forth between the photos above, you will see how Beyond Paint is a great cost-saving option.  I also changed the countertops and lightened up the red oak floors, but the Beyond Paint Licorice color created the biggest impact.

After using Beyond Paint, the vanity cabinet looks new and durable. I finished my cabinets and have been using them for a few weeks now, and it has held up well to use without any chipping or peeling. I'm impressed and in love with the quality and performance of Beyond Paint. I highly recommend Beyond Paint to anyone looking for a convenient all-in-one paint solution for their kitchen cabinets or other similar projects.
