How do you define self-appreciation, and what role does it play in your lifestyle, especially within the dynamic environment of "Summer House"?

I truly believe self-appreciation comes from an inner confidence that only you can provide yourself. Self-love and self-appreciation start from within and how you speak to yourself every morning. It's knowing who you are and what you stand for. It's not being afraid to be yourself no matter how much you might mess up, or not be perfect, in the process. You can see this play out with me season after season of Summer House. Whether I'm in a relationship or single, or even in conflict with a friend, I have to remember who I am and what I stand for. My reactions haven't always been the best in certain times. I have been known to get "activated" or overreact, but with time and focus on my mental health, I learned to trust my journey.

In the midst of reality TV and social media pressures, how do you maintain a sense of authenticity and genuine self-appreciation?

I have always been told I'm "authentic," and people really appreciate that. Being authentic is what makes you an individual. It makes you unique. It makes you, you! We live in a world where everything tends to get criticized, but who are these critics? I always try to remind myself of Theodore Roosevelt's speech about "The Man in the Arena," where he states, "It's not the critic who counts…. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena." So while there are many pressures that come from reality TV or social media, at least I'm putting my true self out there. That's something no one can take away from me.

Can you share with us some personal anecdotes or experiences that have contributed to your journey of self-appreciation, both on and off the screen?

Life is a journey, and self-growth takes time. It's having an understanding (or appreciation) for the whole journey: ups and downs, good or bad, and loving yourself along the way… even if you don't understand every moment. I often feel like my path is more difficult because my calling is higher. I have shared so many personal moments on the show: from relationships blowing up, to friendship conflict, my career, personal trauma from childhood, abandonment issues, an accidental pregnancy that led to a miscarriage, and everything in between. It's not always easy sharing the most intimate moments of my life with the world and opening myself up for judgment and scrutiny. However, knowing how many people it helps by telling my story makes it all worthwhile.

As someone in the public eye, how do you navigate societal expectations and cultivate a positive self-image, promoting self-appreciation for yourself and other women?

There has always been a lot of pressure for women on TV, or in the public eye. The expectations set on us are higher than even the typical societal standards. We are constantly judged for our hair, skin, nails, weight, style, hobbies, if our butt is too small or too big, if our communication is too direct, if we lose too much weight or gain too much weight… I mean the list goes on and on. As a result, I definitely maintain a consistent beauty/skincare/health and workout regimen. If I can't be as consistent with my routine at times, I give myself the grace to not be perfect. I allow myself the space to rest and take care of my own needs because taking care of your mental health is the #1 priority. That or I’ll just clap back at the trolls with something snarky. ;)

What advice do you have for BELLA readers looking to enhance their own self-appreciation and embrace authenticity in their daily lives?

You're not going to be everyone's cup of tea and that's OK! Focus on yourself and the people who matter to you, whether friends or family. The less you try to "people please," the happier you will be. People will always have their own narrative of who you are, but as long as you and your loved ones know the truth, that's all that matters.
