New York Junior League’s 72nd Winter Ball: Glamour in Gotham
On February 24th, 2024 in New York, New York The NY Junior League hosted their 72 annual winter ball, an effortlessly glamorous black tie event at Cipriani South Street. The sold-out event broke attendance records with nearly 1,000 guests in attendance and over 700k raised.
The theme of the ball was Glamour in Gotham: Celebrating New York City’s Historic Past and Vibrant Future.
The ball honored outstanding volunteers crowning Sarah Flint as a Humanitarian Award winner, and others with outstanding Sustainer as well as volunteer awards. The Junior Leagues winter ball was organized, planned, and hosted by exclusively volunteers, with 50 and counting.
The event began with a cocktail reception and silent auction which led to a 3-course delectable dinner, a presentation of awards, and an auction, followed by desserts and dancing. The ball also featured fashion-focused luxury sponsors including; ASD Gems, Beck Bags, Moët & Chandon.
The New York Junior League since 1901 has been an active response to socioeconomic challenges. The organization features 2,500 women volunteers and works with over 60 community-based organizations. The mission of the NYJL is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
