Victor dE Souza Brings to Life a Lost History at NYFW

Visionary designer, Victor dE Souza, presented his fall/winter 24 collection at New York Fashion Week. The collection is a call to celebrate rendezvous history, honoring the connection between the past and the present.

His pieces begin as gothic-inspired silhouettes with intricate stitching and then transform into modernized pieces. The show unfolds alike a history lesson. The pieces involved were described as a “masterstroke of design.”

The clothing used a wide range of materials and styles to communicate the change in history- featuring embroidery, decadent fabrics, glimmering gold metal flowers, ruffled suits, and oversized bows. Victor dE Souza aims to tribute “lost histories” as well as the “fantasies that come with reimagining them.”

Victor dE Souza is praised for being a multiracial Argentinian talent. He challenges the established norms of fashion by deconstructing silhouettes and refreshing our consciousness with modern fashion. He repeats to push the boundaries of fashion and creativity- and has not failed with this visionary sophisticated collection.
