Rodrigo Garduño: Security, Trust and Impact Through Fitness

Originally from Mexico City, Rodrigo developed a career as a soccer player in the Mexican league, being part of great national teams such as Rayos del Necaxa and Monarcas de Morelia. Upon retiring, he worked as a personal trainer for professional athletes and highly competitive amateur athletes.

Rodrigo’s passion for helping others led him to explore the world of motivational speaking with topics focused on personal, emotional, and skill development. During this process in 2012, he realized the need in people to improve their self-esteem, security, and confidence. By leveraging his knowledge and sports experience, he developed a program that promotes such an attitude in its practitioners: 54D. In the years to follow, Rodrigo focused his efforts on expanding his brand by opening several gyms in Mexico, Colombia, and the United States. 54D had emerged as an international initiative.In 2020, due to the global pandemic, the businesses were forced to close temporarily. Rodrigo, looking for a way to continue helping his clients and others in quarantine, decided to offer virtual classes through his Instagram page. Virtually overnight, thousands of people worldwide started connecting every day. Onceagain, Rodrigo had managed to revolutionize the world of fitness. The 54D brand became a global movement.Seven months later, upon seeing the results of the virtual community he had built, Rodrigo decided to find a way. After the successful launch of a subscription-based service, Rodrigo kept seeking out new ways to share his message with the world. After several weeks of preparation and development, he finally announced his next project: the 54D GAMES. A first of its kind, this high-performance competition would be broadcast exclusively on its YouTube channel in October 2020. With over 1,500,000 impressions, 300,000 views, and an audience of 63,000+ unique viewers, the format was a huge success!54D recently opened its newest location in New York City at 125 West 25th Street.
