5 Tips For Self-Love In The New Year

The onset of a new year means new beginnings and the hopeful resolutions we promise to ourselves, in order to become better versions of who we were last year. And while most center around fitness or financial goals, it is important to remember that self-love is one of the best things we can resolve to practice. This new journey will look different to everyone, but here are a few of the self-love tips I’ll be implementing in 2024…

Goal Setting

Setting goals for yourself in the new year is a great way to get motivated and revamp different areas of your life that may have otherwise turned a bit stale. Whether it’s a new business venture, a weekly fitness regimen, or testing out a new local restaurant each month, get excited about setting and reaching new goals in 2024.

You-Time

I have personally been taking stock in how important it is to dedicate quality time to myself. By taking on less of what doesn’t serve you and investing time in things that bring you inner peace, you are exploring the ways self-love can improve your overall mental health. Practicing yoga to calm my mind, utilizing float therapy to destress, cycle classes to strengthen my body, and even regular facials for a little relaxation and pampering are all small ways I practice self-love.

Cleanse the Body

A good cleanse is the perfect way to kick off the new year. The year always ends with holiday parties, new years celebrations, and endless amounts of feasting, so I like to begin the year with a clean slate. Move over “juicers,” there is a new trend in cleansing that is taking off, and if you’re a soup lover like me, the bone broth cleanse is actually delicious. Whatever a doable cleanse looks like to you, that doesn’t feel like torture, I highly recommend trying one.

Cut the Toxins

Speaking of holiday and new year festivities, we have probably all had our fair share of wine, bubbly, or whatever your drink of choice may be. And while “Dry January” has been around for years, there are brands today that make kicking the booze much easier than going completely cold turkey. Organization + Planning

This year, my husband and I started a shared calendar and mapped out our travel for the year (at least what we know of at the moment.) But, this is a great way to prepare for the year ahead, get on the same page with family, and look forward to the exciting things 2024 has in store for you!
