Introducing BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical: A Spectacle of Color, Music, and Love

Get ready for a dazzling theatrical experience as Betty Boop, that iconic symbol of empowerment and joy, takes center stage in BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical. This new musical extravaganza is set to premiere live at Broadway In Chicago’s CIBC Theatre (18 W. Monroe St.) for a limited five-week engagement, running from November 19 to December 24, 2023.

Directed and choreographed by the Tony Award®-winning Jerry Mitchell (known for hits like Kinky Boots, Pretty Woman: The Musical, and Hairspray), BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical brings to life the Queen of the Animated Screen with a star-studded cast led by Jasmine Amy Rogers as Betty Boop herself.

The creative team behind this exciting production includes renowned composer David Foster (known for hits like “I Have Nothing” and “The Prayer”), Tony Award®-nominated lyricist Susan Birkenhead, and Tony Award®-winning book writer Bob Martin.

Jerry Mitchell, the director/choreographer, is effusive in his praise for Jasmine Amy Rogers, saying, "from the moment Jasmine walks into a room and shares that magnificent smile and her contagious laugh, you know you are in the presence of Betty Boop." He believes that Jasmine's exceptional talents in acting, singing, and dancing will capture the hearts of audiences of all ages.

Jasmine Amy Rogers has an impressive theater background, having played the scene-stealing "Gretchen Wieners" in the National Tour of Mean Girls. She's also been part of Paper Mill Playhouse's production of The Wanderer and the world premiere of Becoming Nancy, directed by Jerry Mitchell himself. On top of her stage achievements, she has appeared in the TV series "Evil" on Paramount+.
