Your guide to Miami's Design District

Miami’s Design District is a trendy and upcoming spot, a destination for luxury retail and art. This shopping district is lively and showcases emerging designers- making it an international destination. With so much to see let's break down some must-see spots! So let’s grab our shopping bags and explore.

Meet NEO of Miami’s design district. NEO is a monthly rotating pop-up that serves to bring emerging fashion brands and designers into the limelight. The experience of NEO is described as immersive and dynamic allowing rising brands to be brought together into a common space. 

Introducing Dalé Zine, a community-oriented art bookshop and gallery. The books are beautiful with artistically designed covers giving customers books of great reads and visual pleasure. The bookstore is independently printed and published. Dalé Zine serves to provide a stage for Miami's talented creators and artists, offering an impressive collection of 85 plus titles. 

Up next is by Samuel Ross, a permanent design installation comprised of 12 benches sprawling across MDD. Ross makes it apparent how his benches are a study of the importance of public space. He designed the benches to emphasize intimate engagements and functional space. As Samuel Ross says, “expression. service. essence.”

While exploring the district you will also come across Gucci’s new men's boutique. This boutique marks Gucci's fourth store dedicated just to men’s products. The store ranges from men’s ready-to-wear clothes, shoes, luggage, accessories, and leather goods. Gucci also has another store in the MDD as well. 

Dion Lee’s very first flagship store is also featured in the district. The Aussie designer is New York-based but makes her first venture dipping her toes into Miami with this store. 

Exploring the district, you can also come across Alexander Wang. The store features the brand’s full collection ranging from women ready to wear and even introduces a new men's collection as well as shapewear and kids’ clothing. The makeup of the store carries the brand’s motif of a sleek aesthetic with polished stainless steel, LED walls, and custom backdrops. The space is open and minimalistic. 

Next, you can come across Jill Sander, a high-end luxury brand that celebrates modernity intersecting with sophistication. Jill Sanders's clothes help to introduce luxury to the modern businesswomen, reimagining craftsmanship and design. 

Another store that will catch your eye is Celine, a luxury brand that sports a harmonious blend of timeless sophistication and modern brutalism. The 2-floor boutique is composed of marble and warm elements like oak and brass to give the guests a bright experience. The first floor consists of leather goods, accessories, and perfumes. The second floor features ready-to-wear collections displayed behind glass with a steel showcase. 

Another accredited store is Diesel. Diesel’s DNA since 1978 has been to “create innovative denim for the successful living.” The company has been the leader of advertising in fashion based on its everlasting playful campaigns. Diesel has kept the ethos of the brand for over 35 years deeming it a great destination in the MDD.

Lastly, there is the iconic Golden Goose. The sneakers have taken over the world known for their distinctive worn-out look. The brand celebrates the “perfectly imperfect” combining Italian viability with urban flair.
