Versine Skincare, Partners with Nonprofit Helping Women in Afghanistan + Victims of Domestic Violence

Clean beauty line called, Versine Skincare, has partnered with a nonprofit helping women in Afghanistan, and all proceeds during the month of October will go to the Queens Family Justice Center in NYC to benefit victims of domestic violence.

On Friday, October 27th, in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Queen’s Family Justice Center will hold an event to provide their clients some much needed relaxation and healing via self-care stations, while their children play in the new children's center at the facility.

The Queen’s Family Justice Center is an initiative of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence, in partnership with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. Queens is one of the most diverse counties in the United States, facing obstacles in combating domestic and gendered violence. The center gives survivors one-stop access to counseling, immigration assistance, housing, food, legal aid, and more.

Partnering with The Queen’s Family Justice Center is Versine Skincare, a conscious skincare brand for sensitive and reactive skin. Jennie Gao, Versine's founder, transitioned from Harvard Law School to legal battlefields, culminating in her role as a domestic violence prosecutor in NYC. During her tenure, she worked closely with the Queens Family Justice Center.

Versine Skincare’s, working closely with Mahboba’s Promise, a NYC-based domestic violence support organization, will be selling their products in limited-edition bags hand sewn by the women of Mahboba’s Promise. They will retail for $80, and for the month of October, 100% of the profits will go to the Queen’s Family Justice Center. The collaboration will culminate at the event on October 27th during which volunteer makeup artists and aestheticians will provide these strong survivors some much needed relaxation.
