Strands for Trans Produce Groundbreaking VR Celebration ‘Gender Euphoria’

Billy Porter, Chella Man and DJ Lina Bradford were featured in a first-of-its-kind virtual reality event, created by Strands For Trans, The Phluid Project, and independent advertising agency Terri & Sandy to raise funds for the official launch of Stands for Trans as a nonprofit organization.

 The Luisa Diaz Foundation Celebrates the 9th Annual Mag Gala “A Celebration of Kindness” At The Plaza

The MAG (Mi Amor Graciousness) Gala and The Luisa Diaz Foundation was founded in 2020 in support of survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. The foundation is hosting its annual event and returning to New York on Thursday, May 18th at 6:30 p.m. for their ninth anniversary at The Plaza Hotel. The evening will consist of ‘compassion-meets-fashion’ and will be including the “Runway of Hope”.

Viennese Opera Ball to Hold 67th Annual Charity Celebration in New York City

The oldest and most prestigious outside of Vienna, The Viennese Opera Ball, will hold its 67th annual celebration on May 12th, 2023 at The Plaza in New York in collaboration with the U.S. Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

This gala will benefit Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and will be “A Night inspired by ‘Carmen’”, from the opera Carmen by Bizet. The Gala chairs for the evening will be philanthropist Jean Shafiroffand Denise Rich. Sheila Hultgren Giangrande and Gregory Giangrande’s daughter Gwyneth and son Elias will open the ball. In addition, attending will be Maribel Lieberman of Mariebelle Chocolates and Honorary Guest, Fashion Designer Malan Breton.
